As a Senior Advisor, Michael Kimmel focuses on providing holistic financial planning and investment management for his clients. He is the go-to contact for many clients of Wealthstream Advisors, overseeing their portfolios and total financial pictures as they relate to estate, tax, insurance, and retirement planning. He loves getting to know clients and their unique challenges so that he can help find a path around the obstacles they face and discover new ways for them to reach their goals. Mike educates clients on their options, provides personally tailored recommendations, and facilitates implementation of the chosen path forward.
As a Shareholder at Wealthstream Advisors, Mike manages recruiting for the advisory team, and he is also involved in the firm’s investment and financial planning committees. Mike started with Wealthstream as an Analyst in 2011, was promoted to Advisor a year later, and has since been elevated to Senior Advisor and, ultimately, Shareholder. Prior to joining Wealthstream, Mike worked at RegentAtlantic Capital LLC in New Jersey for about five years, where he served as an analyst and was an active member of the firm’s investment committee.
Mike was on the board of directors of the Estate Planning Council of New York City (2015-2018), was chair of the 2018 Estate Planner’s Day conference, and was a member of the CFP Board Council on Education: Long-Range Planning Group.
Mike is a proud University of Michigan alumni and lives in New Jersey with his family. He has been married to his incredible wife Rachel since 2018. They share a one-year old son, and Mike is also a proud uncle. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, watching sports (especially University of Michigan football), skiing, playing tennis, and reading nonfiction.
